In partnership with the Portuguese Environmental Agency and the Directorate-General of Education, CELPA – Associação da Indústria Papeleira is organising an innovative environmental awareness project for students up to grade 6. The Mission 360 pilot project – about the circular economy and the paper industry’s role in that economy – involved over 1,250 students and 120 teachers. More than 50 sessions were held in Viana do Castelo, Vila Velha de Ródão, Aveiro, Figueira da Foz, Constância, Torres Novas and Setúbal. Through an entertaining story, students accompany our hero Quico, as he unmasks Dr. Sillywaste’s lies and tells adults about the importance of preserving natural resources for the Earth’s sustainable future. During forest week (18 – 22 March), CELPA member companies – Altri, DS Smith, Navigator and Renova – will invite students to visit biodiversity centres, tree nurseries and manufacturing facilities. The aim is to get children interested and raise their awareness about the need to change our behaviour when it comes to our use of the planet’s natural resources. Read all about us and join Quico in this adventure!
